How to teach Class 2 Maths Chapter 9, Which Season is it?, at home
Seasons, calendar and telling the hour, taught with things you already have at home: a 10-minute activity, a game for the week, a 5-day plan and the mistakes to watch for.
NCERT Class 2 Maths Chapter 9 Which Season is it?: what it teaches
Time gets real in Class 2: seasons and the festivals in them, reading a calendar (months, days, weeks), and reading a clock at the hour and at simple times. Your child learns time by using the family calendar and the kitchen clock.
Why it matters later. Reading calendars and clocks is a life skill. Class 3 moves on to minutes and duration, which needs the hour and the calendar learned here.

- On the calendar, find today, your child’s birthday and the next festival. How many months away?
- Count the days in each month together. Which months have 31 days?
